Here's the video I did to highlight a few of my favorite photos from the PHT 100 class, taught by Barbara Southworth at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria, VA Spring 2009..
NB! In order to get the size way down so it would not take long to post to the blog, I exported the file out of iMovie HD as "Email" compression. As you see--unless I've replaced it with more reasonable larger size--that is TOO SMALL! The quality of the image is horrible. When time permits I'll export as CD compression, which keeps me under the 100 MB limit for Blogspot posting.

USMC Iwo Jima Memorial, Arlington, VA

Second post test. USMC Memorial.
This is a photo I took on a cloudy day trying to get a different perspective on the Iwo Jima Memorial. It was successful, but I now wish I'd known about white balance at the time, and chosen "Cloudy" to see what that looked at. On the other hand, perhaps the Auto setting hit it OK, or perhaps I'd even want to go to some other setting to emphasize a ghostly look.
Other Favorite Photos from Photo 100 Class
Here are three other photos, my overall favorite being backlit grass I shot from a low angle on a cold afternoon after the day's snow hand refrozen in a crust. That's followed by a self-portrait that might be titled, "Inside every senior citizen is a kid asking, 'What's happened!'." The last photo was taken from the Washington Mall looking back on the ecstatic Obama Inauguration crowd.

Ornamental grass in winter (Landscape (Large but was reduced to 144 KB source in LR earlier).
Self-portrait (small but only 100 kb souce).
Obama's First Innauguration (small but only 120 KB source since reduced in LR).
